ABRN (Auto Body Repair News) evaluated the collision industry across the nation. They picked out 10 shops across the country that went beyond the call of duty for their clients, their community, and their workmanship. We are pleased to announce that Nigro’s Auto Body of Philadelphia, PA has made the list of top 10 shops and and stood out as one of the most unique body shops in the United States. “Much about Nigro’s is unusual. The shop actually traces its origins to Italy and the European method of repairing vehicles, which Nigro says outpaces much of the technology used in America. Co-owner and father of Domenic, Aniello Nigro trained and worked in Florence, Italy, before coming to Philadelphia to open the shop in 1984.”
ABRN does not take its contest lightly and has high standards and considerable requirements to even be considered as a ‘Top Shop’. ABRN reviewed and judged shops from all over the United States based on originality, practical business sense and creativity. Nigro’s is a top shop because of their out-of-the-box promotions, including their line of safety mobile phone apps, their extensive charity work, a website that provides informative ongoing consumer motorist information and resources, and their work benefiting the local community.
Despite these accomplishments, Nigro says the focus of his business is helping people. “I’m tired of cars. I don’t like them anymore,” he jokes. “I like people.”
This is why he and the shop devote so much of their time to the Philadelphia community and why Nigro is working hard to change the repair community.
